You will be going to travel through the time right from the 6th century, in Chalukya’s Kingdom up to the 14th Century, in the grandest kingdom of history, Vijaynagara or you may call it as- HAMPI.

Badami is a place from the Bagalkot district in Karnataka where Chalukyas set their capital. Its presence dates back to the age of Puranas. This place has seen the great history of the Chalukya Dynasty. They built some marvelous artifacts, which in return made Badami famous.We would also cover two more places, Pattadakal, and Aihole which are as important as Badami to understand Chalukyas history.

Hampi, it is a World Heritage Site and is truly a marvel of India. Hardly any person would not know about Hampi. This place has been mentioned vastly in the Ramayana. This is the place where it is believed that Hanumana first met Rama. This is the place believed to be the abode of Vali and Sugreeva. Likewise, there are many fascinating tales annotated to Hampi. In the 14th Century, Hampi was made the capital of the Vijaynagara Kingdom. This is the time, this place witnessed a golden era in the history of India. In Krishnadevraya’s reign, Hampi was the most rich, powerful and prosperous capital. Vijayanagara’s fall was the most tragic incident in the history of India. One of the darkest era known to mankind. Even today, the ruins of the glorious Vijayanagara stand as a testimony of that Golden Era.

Departure to Badami by 11139- Gadag Express from Mumbai CSMT at 21.20 Hrs. (Thane - 21.53 Hrs.)

Reach Badami Railway station at 09.54 Hrs. OR Arrive Huballi Airport and immediately proceed towards Badami (110 kms.- 2 Hrs.) Check-in the hotel. In the evening, visit- Banashankari Temple and Badami Caves and Museum. Night halt at Badami.

After breakfast, leave for an excursion tour of Pattadakal and Aihole sightseeing (to & fro- 110 kms.). Visit- Pattadakal(Virupaksha Temple Mallikarjuna Temple, Sangameswara Temple, Galaganatha Temple , KashiVisweshwara Temple, Papanatha Temple,Jambulinga Temple, Kadasiddeshwara Temple) andJain Temple). Further visit- Aihole (14 kms. from Pattadakal) and visit- Durga Templeand RavanaPhadi cave). Return to Badami. Evening will be at leisure. Night halt at Badami

After breakfast, proceed towards Hospet (205 kms.), reach Hospet. After lunch, visit Tungabhadra Dam. Enjoy musical fountain show there. Night halt at Hospet.

After breakfast, leave for full day Hampi sightseeing and Visit Virupaksh Temple, UgraNarsinh, Badvilinga, Kadalekalu Ganesh, Sasivekalu Ganesh, Kodandram Temple. Spend your evening at Hemkuta Hills You will find yourself back in glorious days of Hampi. Return to the hotel. Night halt at Hospet.

After breakfast, leave for the remaining expedition of Hampi. Explore some fascinating monuments of Hampi. Visit- VijayaVitthal Temple, Royal enclosure, Lotus Mahal, Pushkarini and Hajar Rama Temple, Vijaya Vittala Temple, Virupaksha Temple, Hanuman Temple, Return to the hotel. Night halt at Hospet.

After breakfast, leave for Hubli (160kms.-4 Hrs.) Or leave for Gadag Railway station (95 kms.- 2 Hrs.) to board the train, 11140- Gadag Express, which departs for Mumbai CSMT at 13.40 Hrs.
